Duties and Job description explained

I have looked into roles of Editing assistant.

I have read up responsibilities and the job description on what you would expect in that role.

https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/editorial-assistant

the salary seems fair with starting point usually around £15000 to £23000 but as you gain experience your pay increases.

Bigger companies can pay you around £40000 + but in order for that to be possible, I would have to attend network events and build a site with my portfolio uploaded.

Social Networks

I have looked at Drew Roper's Vimeo account (which has not been updated for 3 years) but I felt as if he uses another Network to update his log on what he is currently working on .

Thus I have found Twitter which he keeps updated regurlary.... PROBLEM.... I do not have a twitter account. :(

I may have to create a twitter account in order to get in contact with the Yamination crew.

You can see a few videos of what Drew Roper has worked on and how his process has been done.

Yamination Studios

I have for many years been keeping an eye out on Yamination Studios as the short videos I have seen are inspiring. Personally I believe I am good at stop motion as I have done some in the past. They have a studio in Birmingham Custard Factory and I am willing to speak to them and get some advice of them.

My main objective is to speak to the founder of Yamination "Drew Roper".

Editing role in the Animation Production Industry

What I always wanted to do since I was a child was editing in the Production industry.

I have been informed of a site which is useful in engaging the career I want to pursue in which is www.creativeskillset.org

The website helps in get involved in networking as in todays society, the best way to get one foot into the production industry is to have links with people that are already there.

I believe that my hard skills are using software's such as Adoble After Effects and Premier as well as Photoshop.

Not only will u need good skills in Animation editing but it is important that the individual has excellent soft skills such as the following which I found in a vacancy on the Creative Skills Set website.

Networking Research

Here are a few events that have caught my eye.... Most of them are in London the capital of England. To be fair, most job opportunities are in the Capital.

Another one that has links to the University of Wolverhampton is "RSA"
